1794 Flowing Hair Early Dollar PCGS VF20 CAC
| The 1794 Flowing Hair is the first coin of this denomination struck by the US Mint. According to PCGS Coin Facts, from a mintage of 1,758 only 150 or so remain today in all grades. The surfaces of this VF20 are unquestionably original and exhibit a fairly light rose, gray, and gold patina. Rare in all grades and certainly so with a CAC sticker. Note: the highest price ever paid for a coin in auction is a specimen silver plug version of this date, which was $10 million! |
